Dear EI Family and Friends,
The dedication of the CARROLL PRAYER CHAPEL at the recent Prayer Conference was a highlight for our guests. Stage by stage over the last two years, we saw our Lord faithfully provide what was needed to complete this sizable project. Now a lovely, quiet place for prayer is central to the school and other EI ministries.
The scripture verse in the Chapel's main room says, "Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!" (Psalm 95:6). We heed this verse as we praise and thank our gracious Lord for those of you who have supported this project by prayer and with gifts.
EI now faces another pressing need regarding our facilities. I write to invite you to pray and trust with us in this next project. The Board of Directors, in agreement with the staff, believes we should make provision on campus for married students with children. Instead of building a whole new structure, options are being considered to convert Dorm C (the third one up the hill) into family apartments. Renovation would be much less expensive than a new construction.
We are pleased that the same brother who did such excellent work on the Prayer Chapel is willing to undertake the renovation of Dorm C. According to the contractor's schedule, work can begin as early as September.
