Dear Prayer Partners,
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good and His genuine love endures permanently.
It is a joy to speak of the great things the Lord has done for us! Last week, we hosted another Totally His Youth Conference. Dan Johnson was the driving force in initiating this ministry. I am sure that he would rejoice to see how the Lord has prospered it.
Like many similar ministries, we are beginning to regain the momentum that was lost during the COVID years. More than seventy teens joined us and better than half attended for the first time. It was encouraging to me to see the degree of hunger displayed by this group. It was also encouraging to see growth physically and spiritually in the ones who returned. I taught during the third morning session, which can be a tough assignment. This group was still attentive after two previous hours of Bible study. How encouraging that there are still those who have a desire to know God. Please pray for them as they return home to act on what they learned.
With Totally His behind us, it is time to turn our attention to the upcoming school year. The Director, Colin Brazier, reminded us this week that we begin again next month. And although that is almost seven weeks from now, there is much to be done. We would ask for prayer along two lines.
First, I would ask for prayer for the staff to be physically and mentally prepared for the new year. The work here is very rewarding, but it is also intense. We need the spiritual and physical stamina to go through the year without “growing weary in well doing.”
Then also, we would ask you to join us in praying that the Lord will send students for next year. This request would have to be considered our primary target, not only for this fall but also for years to come. Our Father has miraculously provided for us in recent times. He has worked in the student body. Our desire is to train anyone who wants to know the Lord intimately. But the need of the world and the church is so vast that we cannot help but call on God to send us those who can eventually take their place in influential roles in the coming of His kingdom.
